Hamilton Council
The Hamilton City Council consists of 12 elected Councilors, along with over 900 operational staff and a mayor. This council serves as the local governing body for Hamilton, taking care of various aspects such as residents’ needs, infrastructure like roads and water, public spaces like parks and playgrounds, attractions like zoos and museums, and community events and venues. Additionally, the council plays a crucial role in fostering an active and inclusive community, supporting migrants, and assisting community organizations. With the city experiencing growth and an influx of new residents, the council is actively working on development plans to accommodate these changes.
