Consider Raglan and Ngarunui Beach
Raglan is a coastal destination west of Hamilton. Waikato's official tourism guide identifies Ngarunui, also called Ocean Beach, as a beach outside Raglan township. It is a separate trip from visiting the Waikato River within Hamilton.
Choose your actual beach before planning the journey. Travel time depends on your starting point, traffic and where you park. For a swim, check current conditions and lifeguard patrol information rather than assuming a surf beach is always patrolled.
