| Thursday 17 September · 9am to approximately 10:30am | | A different side of Hamilton Gardens | This guided tour explores the work behind the visitor experience. Tickets are $25 per person, with a $5 discount for Friends of Hamilton Gardens members. Spaces are limited. Wear sturdy shoes; the route includes uneven ground and is not suitable for wheelchair access.

| Friday 18 September · 5:30pm to 8pm | | Give your favourite clothes another chance | Sip & Sew’s Repair and Revive workshop at 401 Anglesea Street teaches simple ways to mend clothing. No previous sewing experience is needed. Tickets are $20 and include hot and cold drinks. Ages 18+.

| Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September | | Summer road-trip dreaming starts here | The NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan and Leisure Show is at Mystery Creek Events Centre. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm Friday and Saturday, and 9am to 4pm Sunday. Adult single-entry tickets are $17 online plus fees or $20 at the gate. Children aged 16 and under enter free with an adult.

| Saturday 19 September · rugby from 2pm | | Waikato v Manawatū at FMG Stadium Waikato | The NPC match kicks off at 5:05pm, with an under-18 curtain-raiser against Counties Manukau at 2pm.
