This beach has been given the title and award for being the best inland beach in New Zealand. The beach is in the middle of town which is pretty uncommon. Beaches are favorite places for families and kids.

This beach has nearby trails. People come here for the Mountain Bike Trail, a 1.0 km trail that runs from Set side Waikato River- Pukete to Rostrevor Street. The Jesmon Park Track is another 1.9 km trail.
